What functions does a cell have? How does it work? These are some of the questions 6th Graders were exploring as they were building their models of a cell using materials of their choice – perceptive, interesting, creative, and some delicious!

International Exam Results

Each year, CAISL students sit Reading, Math, and Language Usage tests called “MAP” (Measures of Academic Progress®). The graphics show how CAISL students did on the Fall 2020 test compared to those who took MAP in the United States, in international schools around the world, and in American schools assisted by the Office of Overseas Schools of the United States Department of State.

Alumni Calls

CAISL hosted alumni zoom calls for the 2018-20 graduate classes. During these three 2 hour sessions, an average of 20 alumni and 4-5 teachers joined to share in the CAISL Community spirit.

IMUN goes Online

Iberian Model United Nations (IMUN) 2020 was one like no other. For the first time, the conference was held fully online, and this new experience showcased the resilience and willingness to adapt and excel in all participating students.

Books looking for a Home

Our Library Media Center is sharing some of their community library items. We have books in English and Portuguese for parents to take home and read at their own leisure (no need to return them). This selection changes every day, so make sure to have a look while waiting for the children!

On Saturday, September 19th, over 40 seniors came in to participate in the CAISL college day. Sessions focused on the main destinations for our students—the US, the UK, Portugal, the Netherlands and a general session on Europe.
