A typical calendar year runs from September to June, and comprises:
- a small Thanksgiving break in November,
- a winter break in December/early January,
- a small Carnival Break around February/March, and
- a Spring Break around April.
Academically, the school year is broken into four quarters and two semesters with a balanced number of instruction days. The end/beginning of the quarters are not necessarily aligned with the breaks.
A typical school day will start at 8:20 and finish at 3:55, allowing after-school activities to start straight after.
