CAISL's Student Support Services encompass a range of programs and professional staff who work in areas, academic, personal, emotional-social to help students succeed.
The Student Support Services includes:
- Two Personal Counselors (one primarily for Elementary students and the other primarily for Secondary students) who focus on guiding students through the emotional and social challenges of growing up and working with others. Learn more about it here.
- Career Counseling for Secondary Students in implemented by a variety of staff at CAISL, led by the Secondary Personal Counselor. It focuses primarily on 9th and 10th grades as students begin to consider their futures and to put plans in place. Futurewise is also available to students. Learn more about it here.
- The College Counseling Program consists of two experienced teachers who guide and support students in their selection and application process. One focuses on applications to the USA, UK, and all other countries (excluding Portugal) and one focuses on applications to Portugal. Learn more about it here.
- Four Teachers licensed in Special Needs Education (two focused on Elementary and two focused on Secondary) support students who have specific learning needs which require support beyond which the classroom teacher can alone provide. Learn more about it here.
