ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (Grades 1 through 5)

Congratulations! You have been chosen for the 2018 Reading World Cup! Just like real World Cup athletes, you get to have fun doing something that’s great for you—reading!

Download your booklet here

In this World Cup, you can advance your favorite teams by completing different reading activities and challenges. Detailed instructions are written on your booklet. If you need links to resources, to print another copy of the booklet, or answers to questions, go to the CAISL Moodle page ( and click on the Reading World Cup Summer Reading icon (main page, on the right).

SECONDARY SCHOOL (Grades 6 and up)

Middle and High School students have lists of books, stories, websites, blogs, podcasts, and/or online articles designed to help them stay academically sharp.  The readings and activities are organized by grade and subject.  They correspond with what the students will be learning in those classes in the next school year. In some cases reading is accompanied by projects, so summer reading is an essential way to give them a leg up in the coming year!

For answers to questions, email Ms. Jenkins at

Happy summer reading!!!
