On Friday, February 23rd, Middle School Musical Theater presented The Little Mermaid Jr. to a completely full theater.
Between February 9th and 11th, CAISL hosted its first Iberian Basketball Tournament for Varsity Boys and Girls teams.
Spirit week took place between February 5th and 9th, with Elementary and Secondary students "dressing up" for the different theme days.
Safer Internet Day is a global event that focuses on making the internet safe for everyone, particularly our youngest users. On February 6, visitors from Microsoft, Portugal, did a special presentation to students in Grades 3-5 and their parents, to Middle School and to High School Students.
In 2018 CAISL sent 21 students off to The Netherlands to participate in the 50th anniversary of The Hague International Model United Nations.
Every year, the CAISL middle school students embark on an interdisciplinary unit that challenges the students in a variety of cross-curricular activities. The unit provides an opportunity for all three grades (6th, 7th and 8th) to work together on collaborative tasks.
On February 2nd, we celebrated our Annual Mad Hatter Tea Party Concert.
From January 26th to 28th, three of our High School Choir students flew to Amsterdam to participate in the AMIS Solo & Ensemble Festival.
On January 24th, parents of our EC 3/4 and Kindergarten students had the opportunity to attend Informances in the music classroom.
The local Volleyball tournaments for Divisions 3, 4 and 5 marked the end of this sport's season.
Between December 14th and 16th, CAISL Varsity Girls Soccer and Boys Basketball participated in the local tournament.
On December 22nd, Santa and his most trusted elf, visited our Pre-school classes
On Wednesday 20 December, members of the High School Choir and the Tri-M music honor society traveled to spend time with the children at the Associação Promotora da Criança.
Just before going on holidays, EC3/4 and Grade 5 Orchestra students prepared a very special gift for their parents.
One of the highlights of the school year at CAISL is certainly the Winter Concert, that took place on December 19th.
On December 15th, students from Grades 1 to 4 took an audience of parents swinging into the holiday season during their Winter Showcase.
It was November the 30th, and time for CAISL to dress up for the Holiday season.
On Thursday, November 30th, the Scene Study Year 2 and IB Theatre Year 1 students presented to their peers the first CAISL High School Theater Showcase.
Middle School students made CAISL's staff Thanksgiving even better on Wednesday, November 22nd.
Under a sunny and hot weather, this year's Fall Tournament happened on November 16 – 18 and brought to our campus 10 other international schools spread throughout Portugal.
The 23rd edition of IMUN (Iberian Model United Nations) took place between 9 and 11 of November, with the participation of almost 400 students from 22 schools from 10 different countries.
Each year, a group of science educators from the NESA (Near East South Asia) Virtual Science Fair holds their NVSF training session at a different international school, and this year we were fortunate to be part of it at CAISL.
On November 3rd, the Parent Support Group organized a 'completely sold out' Thanksgiving Dinner. Although scheduled to be a few weeks earlier than the American Thanksgiving, it was also planned to be a few weeks later than the Canadian, ceasing the opportunity to celebrate both.
On November 3rd, CAISL Varsity Girls Volleyball team flew to Valencia to participate in their first Iberian Tournament.
During the month of October, the Elementary Community Service Club hosted a mouth-watering Halloween Bake Sale. On the morning of the 30th of October, the elementary upper atrium was flooded with the aromas of Halloween-inspired cakes, cupcakes, and decadent sweets.
Character Counts! is an educational program that focus on the six Pillars of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Citizenship and Caring. During the October international celebrating week that started on October 16, students its colors.
On the evening of October 31st, CAISL's theater was the stage of a fantastic talent show.
Halloween was celebrated by the Elementary School with the traditional haunted house and a parade full of little monsters, witches and ghosts.
Four CAISL seniors, Matilde A., Andrea B., Antonio B. and Miguel D. attended the American Club Lunch in Lisbon Tuesday, October 31 where US Ambassador to Portugal George E. Glass spoke.
CAISL hosted the European Sports Conference tournament for the first time, involving ten Varsity Girls Soccer teams from six different countries.
