The evening of May 17th was quite an exciting one at CAISL. After long weeks of stage setting and rehearsing, the High School Drama class was ready to present the classic comedy play The Odd Couple and a crowd of family and friends came to the theater to show their support.
As the public entered, they were greeted with music from the 1960's. The open curtain also showed an apartment from that time and even before the show began, the audience started to travel back in time and anticipating the great performance to come. And they certainly weren't disappointed, as the young actors took the stage and got all guests involved in the dramatic, but still well humored, lives of group of friends and their problems, particularly tricky for Florence, who had just gotten divorced, and Olive, who decided to take her into her home. The day to day issues of this "odd couple", superbly performed by our students, got the audience laughing and applauding over and over again. At the end of the play, all Drama students working front and backstage got a laud standing ovation.
Congratulations to our HS Drama class and to our Drama teacher Ms. Marta for this fantastic production.
