The traditional Parent Support Group (PSG) Welcome Back Picnic took place last Saturday, September 22nd, and brought together a crowd of new and returning families for an afternoon of fun games, delicious grilled burgers and hot-dogs, and a chance to mingle with old and new friends.
The first parents and teachers to arrive were our volunteers, who with a smile on their faces put up tents for games, prepared vegetables for the food station, grilled hundreds of burgers and hot-dogs and came up with games for the children.
With a bright sunny day and a rare no wind weather in Linhó, a cooling surprise was added to the Picnic: closer to the end of the event, the soccer fields' water cannon was installed and children and parents were invited to "dive" under the sprays of cool water.
A very big thank you to our PSG and all volunteers, who made this event a highlight of this school year!
