The May 2018 IB results are in and we would like to congratulate our students for their effort and commitment that led to such excellent results.
CAISL had 44 graduating seniors in June 2018. Of these 82% (36 students) pursued both the High School Diploma and the IB Diploma.
IB Diploma results go up to 45 points (the highest possible score). Annually, the IB issues a Statistical Bulletin where it publishes comparative results. The results from 2018 have not yet been issued and are not expected until November. However, historically, the statistical averages do not vary greatly and so the CAISL results below are comparisons to the global results published in the Statistical Bulletin from last year (May 2017).
OVERALL SCORE:
Five (5) CAISL students achieved between 41 points or higher. This puts them in the top 6% of students worldwide. One student achieved a score of 44 (out of the maximum of 45 possible). This is only achieved by 1% of the students worldwide.
AVERAGE (MEAN) SCORE: 35
CAISL's Average overall score was 35 points. This is significantly above the world average of 29.9 points.
61% of CAISL students achieved more than 35 points which is within the top 27% of students worldwide.
PASS RATE(*): 100%
The World Pass rate was 78%.
*The Pass Rate is the % students worldwide who attempted the Diploma and achieved it.
Other data
36% of our students received a Bilingual Diploma, meaning that they successfully studied two "first languages."
97%were awarded 1 or more extra points for their Extended Essay or Theory of Knowledge.
