Proud 1st and 2nd graders took to the stage on Tuesday, March 20th, to perform their musical finale for our 14th annual CAISL Hooked on Books event. This year Hooked on Books had students in EC through 2nd grade reading books on the theme of "Physical Fitness." The kick-off book was Miss Fox's Class Shapes Up, by Eileen Spinelli, and it was this title that was turned into a musical.The performance also included facts about healthy eating, sleeping and exercise that students had learned in classroom related activities during the five weeks of this event. The set featured art work the children had done as a part of Hooked on Books and the result was an imaginative and colorful show about living healthy, active lives.
