On March 6th, CAISL hosted two of the highlight events of the year: the IB Art Exhibit and the Tri-M Induction Ceremony. Mr. John Hawke and Ms. Elena Crocker wrote about this very special evening.
IB Art Exhibition
The IB art exhibition concluded on Thursday after a two week run in the art gallery. Five IB students, Ana C., Carina A., InĂªs R. C., Rafaela P. and Sofia M., and two students from the Advanced Art class, Adriana C. C. and Emily T. installed over 50 original artworks in the gallery. The students designed the exhibition layout, chose the theme, produced the publicity poster and mounted their own work, gaining valuable experience in how to organize, curate and present a complex body of visual material to an audience. The opening was well attended by students, parents and faculty and extensive comments were left in the exhibition guest book; including: "Amazing!"; "Wow, this was extraordinary!"; "Exceptional!"; and "I have been here six years, and this is the best one yet!"
Congratulations to our CAISL artists for their hard work and their inspiration to the CAISL community.

To make a difference in our community, our Chapter has teamed up with the MS and HS Community Service Clubs, the NHS and the HS Student Council. The Induction Ceremony welcomed new members, recognized continuing members, and said farewell to its graduating members. The event included beautiful performances by our students.
