On November 3rd, the Parent Support Group organized a 'completely sold out' Thanksgiving Dinner. Although scheduled to be a few weeks earlier than the American Thanksgiving, it was also planned to be a few weeks later than the Canadian, ceasing the opportunity to celebrate both. And so did all participant families: close to 240 people attended the dinner and raised 990 Euros to fund the Atlantic Hurricane Season Recovery. Children and adults had the opportunity to say what they were thankful for and buy raffles to win sumptuous baskets with items generously donated by the Elementary Parents.
Behind the scenes were the ticket sellers, the restaurant coordinators, the basket donors and the basket wrappers, the raffles sellers, the table organizers, and the High school volunteers who championed the entertainment for the other close to 100 children.
Thank you to all the individuals who participated one way or the other and to the Parent Support Group who organized from top to bottom this whole event. This was our largest Thanksgiving Dinner ever, and it was a resounding success!
