College Counseling
CAISL is on hand to provide students and families with support and guidance through the complex array of post-secondary education options that are available.
11th and 12th graders start the year off with a College Counseling day in September, where they learn about different university systems, do research on courses and programs, brainstorm ideas for their personal statements and essays, and discuss the various parts of university applications. In the spring of their junior year, students meet with the counselor to consider summer plans and strategize for the upcoming fall, when seniors finalize their university lists, write their essays with feedback from the counselor, and apply to the schools of their choice. Throughout the year, CAISL hosts visits from admissions representatives and holds other outreach programs.
