Grades & Scores

CAISL operates on a semester reporting system. Regular progress reports and grade updates are issued throughout the year. The grading scale used by the CAISL Secondary School is shown below.

TOP HONORS are awarded to students who earn grades of A- or above in all of their subjects.

Students who earn a grade average of “B” with no grade below “C+” are recognized for their achievement with a listing on the HONOR ROLL.

CAISL tracks SAT Scores and has been publishing the most recent 5 years of results.  However, the SAT format changed in March 2016 meaning that the scores from spring 2016 cannot be included in this historical comparison.  For this reason, we show the 2018 results and, below them, the historic results of 2016 and  previous years.

MAP stands for “Measures of Academic Progress”. The scale used is called RIT (Rasch unIT) and it shows how “tall” a student is on the curriculum scale, similar to measuring height on a yard-stick. This reflects the instructional level at which the student is performing, independent of the age or grade.  When CAISL results were higher than any other average, they were made bold on this table.
