On March 3rd, Grade 11 students visited Lisbon Zoo for their Collaborative Science Project, observing wildlife, collecting data, and exploring conservation efforts. The trip provided hands-on learning, teamwork, and a memorable day of science and adventure.

Last week, Second Graders shared the toys they had created with Kindergarten students. The younger students explored the toys, asked questions, and learned directly from the creators, making it a fun and interactive cross-grade experience.

Last Friday, our Early Childhood students enjoyed a musical visit from Elementary Principal. Inspired by the animals the students had drawn, the songs helped them learn new vocabulary in a fun and creative way, making language learning joyful and memorable.

Last Friday, our Kindergarten students visited the Middle School, where Grade 6 students brought the water cycle to life through a creative drama presentation. Using storytelling, props, and acting, the sixth graders made science fun and engaging, while also taking on leadership roles and mentoring their younger peers.

Earlier today, EC3 students enjoyed an outdoor learning experience where they planted lettuces and explored nature through hands-on activities. The students had a wonderful time, and special thanks go to Mr. Rocha for his support. 🌱

Last Friday’s Talent Show brought our theater to life with outstanding performances in singing, dancing, and instrumental music. Hosted by two 10th graders and supported by our art teachers, the event showcased students’ focus, creativity, and talent, while families joined in celebrating an unforgettable evening. Well done to all our performers!

From February 25 to March 1, selected CAISL Choir and Orchestra students joined peers from international schools in Barcelona, Madrid, and Rome for three days of music, collaboration, and new friendships at the Iberian Festival.

Earlier today, Grade 2 students held a successful bake sale in support of Centro de Dia do Linhó, raising over €850. Thanks to the generosity of our community, the funds will help improve conditions for the center’s beneficiaries.

Earlier today, our Elementary students gathered for their Quarterly Assembly to celebrate achievements in athletics, community service, and other areas of school life. The event also reinforced positive behavior and shared values, making it a proud and uplifting moment for our community.

Grade 7 students investigated photosynthesis beside a cork oak tree, using scientific models to understand how matter transforms and supports plant growth, bringing classroom science into a real-world setting.

Last week, our High School Thespian Troupe presented a student-led production of Almost, Maine. Performed behind the theatre curtains for a limited audience, the intimate setting created a powerful and memorable experience that showcased the students’ talent, creativity, and dedication.

Our Pre-School students celebrated Carnival with a joyful day full of colorful costumes, music, dancing, and a cheerful parade. The festivities brought smiles, laughter, and plenty of magical moments for our little ones.

EC4 celebrated Valentine’s Day and friendship by decorating handkerchiefs inspired by the traditional “Lenços dos Namorados”. They used bright colors, hearts, flowers, birds, and keys, added personal phrases, and then exchanged them with classmates. A fun way to share a beautiful Portuguese tradition!

Two days ago, families came together for a joyful Informance where children shared their music learning and parents joined in by singing and dancing. It was a warm, playful moment that celebrated learning, connection, and the joy of making music together. 💛🎶

Last Friday, families joined CAISL for STEAM Night, an evening of hands-on learning where students and parents explored interactive activities together. From physics challenges and 3D printing to AI, robotics, and book publishing workshops, the event fostered creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration. Thanks to our teachers, staff, and families for making the evening such a success!

CAISL High School Debate Society students demonstrated exceptional critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills at a recent interschool debate tournament, earning top placements across multiple grade levels.

Thanks to our community, we collected goods to help families affected by Storm Kristin, which hit our country last week. CAISL will deliver the items to Cáritas Leiria, and the Community Service Club is also donating €1,000 to support their relief efforts. Your generosity is making a real difference!
