The Future of the International Order
Ten grade 11 and 12 students bused into Lisbon after class on Thursday, January 19 to attend the Luso American Development Foundation sponsored talk by International Relations Princeton University Professor and author John Ikenberry on “The Future of the International Order.” The talk is part of a series entitled, “Democracy: The Way Ahead - The Future of Democracy in Debate.” The talk generated animated discussion amongst the students, who found the talk very stimulating. The event allowed ample time for a Q&A period but our group was frustrated not to be called on despite having their hand up several times! The professor’s points generated much animated discussion which continued on the bus ride back.
