“Thank you” were the words of the day

“Thank you” were the words of the day

On June 17th, the Parent Support Group (PSG) hosted a breakfast to say “Thank you” to each member of Staff: teachers, administration, all the support staff including all offices and maintenance, even the guards and the snack-bar/lunch crews. Parents started to arrive at 7:15 to have things ready right at 8:00 and, when the doors opened, the recipients could not believe their eyes. They were welcomed to a beautifully decorated room:  many children’s “thank you” notes (that had been collected for a few weeks) were attractively displayed, there was a wall with “Thank You” written in all the languages at CAISL, a café styled space with lots of gorgeous fresh flower arrangements. The food was definitely the center piece: the variety, the quantity, the smell of fresh made pancakes, waffles, tostas mistas, even tapioca, coffee of any kind, tea, and then the food that parents from the school had donated – desserts, fresh fruit, a yogurt bar, and innumerous other salty or sweet items, prepared with so much care that it could be tasted. But, no matter how wonderful everything was, the best of it all was the welcoming atmosphere – the smiles, the warmth, the availability, . . .  what a great Appreciation breakfast. Thank you to all the parents involved, and to all the PSG members who did an amazing job!
