Strengthening Bonds at Guincho Beach: Advisory Bonding Outdoor Activity

Strengthening Bonds at Guincho Beach: Advisory Bonding Outdoor Activity

Last September 27th, our high school students participated in a unique and engaging event: an Advisory Bonding Outdoor Activity at Guincho Beach. This event was designed to strengthen connections, promote teamwork, and encourage self-reflection in a beautiful coastal setting. It featured three major rotations, each offering students a distinct opportunity to connect with nature, their peers, and themselves.

One rotation took place along the Cresmina Dune Hike, where students explored the breathtaking landscape while learning about the local ecosystem. This peaceful walk not only fostered an appreciation for nature but also gave students time to reflect on their personal growth and bond with one another in a relaxed, scenic environment. Another rotation featured the team-building game "Save the Cork," held on the beach, where students worked in small groups to overcome challenges that encouraged collaboration and effective communication. The final rotation centered around an Advisory session, during which students gathered in small groups with their advisors to discuss wellness and well-being. This reflective session allowed for meaningful conversations about mental and emotional health, fostering a strong sense of community and support within each group.

Together, these rotations provided a well-rounded afternoon, blending physical activity, teamwork, and personal reflection into a memorable and impactful experience.
