Some ‘Dos and Don’ts’ When Applying to the US

On Monday, October 9th, CAISL had the privilege of welcoming Mr. Mike Devlin, the Director of Admission and Associate Dean at Stanford University.

He spoke to an audience of about 50 parents and High School students about the importance of a good fit with the University of choice, what can stand out for Admissions Officers, and some ‘dos and don’ts’ when applying to the US. He ended the session with a Q&A that brought up thoughtful questions from the participants and reflected the interest of the session.

Mr. Devlin’s visit happened in the context of CAISL’s College Counseling Program, and it was part of the U.S. State Department’s Office of Overseas Schools collaboration with the College Board. We’re grateful for their support.
