São Martinho Day
By Ms. Tatiana, EC Teacher
On November 11th, we joined the Portuguese tradition of celebrating S. Martinho’s Day in Early Childhood.
Our festivities began with a morning snack of seasonal fruits, such as pomegranate and persimmon, allowing us to enjoy the tastes of autumn. In the afternoon, teachers delighted the children with a live performance of S. Martinho’s legend, bringing the timeless story of kindness and compassion to life.
Following tradition, we gathered for a picnic outdoors with the Early Childhood classes, enjoying a delicious cake under the warm sunshine of the “Summer of S. Martinho.” It was a beautiful day, celebrating the values of generosity and warmth that S. Martinho’s story represents.
