CAISL students had the pleasure of hearing from author and activist Paula DiPerna this Wednesday, October 11. Ms. DiPerna worked closely with explorer and environmental pioneer, Jacques-Yves Cousteau, and writes both fiction and nonfiction books, and is currently touring Portugal presenting her books.
Sixth through ninth graders learned about the author’s most recent book, Pricing the Priceless: The Financial Transformation to Value the Planet, Solve the Climate Crisis, and Protect Our Most Precious Assets, with our student council President Laura moderating the conversation. Members of the Ecolution club had the opportunity to have a closer dialog with Ms. DiPerna, with whom they shared CAISL´s environmental initiatives, and sought advice about how to help solve climate crisis, to which the author had a very direct answer: “You didn´t create the problem, it is the adults’ to fix.
Your job is to push us.” Thank you to Paula DiPerna for making the time to come to CAISL during her busy Lisbon tour!
