Today, CAISL was filled with soft slippers, cozy pajamas, and lots of smiles as our younger students celebrated National Pajama Day! This special day supports the Missão Pijama, an initiative inspired by the Convention on the Rights of the Child and led by Associação Mundos de Vida.
The mission raises awareness about every child's right to grow up in a loving family environment. Mundos de Vida created Portugal’s first specialized foster care program and has already helped more than 130 children find family-based care instead of institutionalization.
Our halls were filled with color and joy as students arrived wearing their favorite pajamas—cute patterns, fuzzy fabrics, and cheerful designs everywhere! The younger grades especially embraced the spirit of the day, making the school feel warm, fun, and full of heart.
By celebrating in this playful and meaningful way, our students helped spread the message that all children deserve comfort, love, and security in a family of their own.
