Matthew Habib, a distinguished former student of our Choir teacher, graced the campus for an unforgettable series of workshops and presentations. The music-filled activities began with Mr. Habib conducting engaging workshops with both Middle and High School Choirs, sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience with the eager young voices. The students embraced the opportunity to learn from a seasoned professional in the world of opera and Broadway.
The magic, however, extended beyond the confines of the Choir classrooms. Matt Habib's visit touched the hearts of even the youngest CAISL students. The preschoolers and elementary students were treated to captivating performances that transcended age barriers, proving that music truly has the power to connect us all. As Mr. Habib effortlessly belted out operatic tunes, the reactions from the children ranged from pure joy and wide smiles to spontaneous applause. However, the real surprise came when he explored the lower registers of his remarkable voice, evoking a mix of astonishment and mild scares from the youngest members of our school community. It was a testament to the power of music to evoke genuine emotions and create lasting memories.
One of the highlights of Matt Habib’s visit was the collaborative performances with both the Middle and High School Choirs. The harmonious blend of his powerful vocals with the young talents of CAISL filled the room with an enchanting atmosphere, leaving both the performers and the audience in awe. There was also time for a parent workshop and Q&A session.
Thank you to Matt Habib for sharing his amazing talent with us, and to Mr. Rode for organizing this opportunity for students.
