Martin Luther King Day

This Monday, CAISL students celebrated Martin Luther King Day with several events during the day. Elementary students learned about the importance of the civil rights movement from other students and teachers.
In the afternoon, elementary students gathered in the theater to hear Mr. Marty, first grade teacher, speak about this important day. Some first and fourth grade students also shared their written work about Dr. King, and Mr. Chapman, CAISL director, ended the assembly with a story about the children's march.
What a rich learning experience.
