MAIS Honor Choir Barcelona 2023 was the 31st edition of the Mediterranean Association of International Schools. It was the first full scale MAIS Honor Choir festival after COVID, and for our students, it was the first choir festival the school has attended in 3 years. It was filled with joy, excitement, and hard work. The students prepared seven pieces in different languages, and learned a new one at the festival, while Mr. Rode and I also took part of the musical fun! Mr. Rode conducted some sectionals, and oversaw a fun warm-up session, and I played the violin in three of the pieces. Meeting people from different countries, from different ethnicities and mother languages but singing together the same music was a powerful experience for all. We are looking forward to MAIS 2024!
