Library Family STEAM Challenge
After reading the book How to Catch an Elf, students were tasked with a STEAM challenge to design a device or trap to catch an elf. They were encouraged to use mostly recycled materials and to create a festive and imaginative device.
To make the activity even more exciting, the school organized a contest with several categories of awards. Prizes were given for:
- Most Creative AND Best in Show
- Most Complex Problem Solving
- Most Festive
- Most Efficient
- Most Artistic
- Best Design
In total, six families were awarded for their outstanding efforts.
Unfortunately, the elf is still on the run, but we remain hopeful that one of the traps will work soon!
