Today, our school community came together to honor Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy with activities focused on equity, justice, and hope. Our 3rd-grade students and parents organized a donation of hygiene bags for the homeless, while upper elementary students created vibrant artwork with meaningful messages. Grades 1 and 2 led a march through the lower elementary corridors, with five sessions ensuring full participation. The 5th grade contributed written pieces, and our Early Childhood and Kindergarten students showcased their artwork and sang songs.
The Diversity Equity and Inclusion Club hosted an engaging screening of How Martin Luther King Jr. Changed the World, attended by our community.
These activities provided our students with a chance to reflect on how we can still make a positive impact, while paying tribute to Dr. King’s message of peace, hope and compassion.
