GreenTech Students Explore CAISL’s Solar Energy Systems

GreenTech is about hands-on technology, sustainability, and developing an awareness of our surroundings—especially when it comes to energy use and efficiency. In close collaboration with our school engineer, who ensured all safety and technical aspects were covered, GreenTech students had the opportunity to explore the systems behind our school's heating and energy infrastructure. This included an in-depth look at our newly installed photovoltaic solar panels.

We discussed kilowatts, Mtoe, energy security, and efficiency. But beyond learning that by 11:30 a.m. the school's solar panels were already producing enough energy to meet nearly all our needs, the highlight of the day was enjoying the stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean from a privileged balcony—right next to an impressive array of solar panels.
