Our Grade 1 students celebrated their diversity with a Multicultural Festival.
This event was divided into two afternoons, and allowed students to know more about their colleagues home country first hand.
On Friday, Ms. Robbie's class visited Mr. Marty's classroom, taking questions prepared in advance. In return, Mr. Marty's students brought their favorite foods from their home countries that visitors could sample.
On Tuesday, the classes switched and it was Mr. Marty's class' turn to visit Ms. Robbie's room.
At the end of each exchange, students shared what they learned about other cultures.
What a wonderful and tasty way to learn!
