Grade 1 Celebrates Women's Day

March 8th is International Women's Day, and Grade 1 took this chance to learn more about the importance of the date. Students started the day by learning from Ms. Leslie about female composers. Ms. Eileen also participated by sharing this day's history and running a sewing activity. Later, inspired by important women in their lives, first graders wrote a letter with Ms. Camille. Mr. Marty and Ms. Robbie, first grade teachers, taught students how to scat like Ella Fitzgerald and how to debate like Michelle Obama. To end the day, students worked together on a mural in honor of Malala. Great job first graders!
