Gr5 Wax Museum

The Grade 5 Wax Museum at CAISL, an innovative initiative under the Portuguese classes, offers a unique and engaging way for students to improve their language skills while delving into history. Each student selects a historical character to research and embody, crafting a short biographical text in Portuguese. This exercise not only enhances their understanding of the language but also allows them to explore significant historical figures and events.

On the day of the event, the theater transforms into a vibrant museum where students stand as "wax statues" of their chosen characters. Their peers, acting as museum visitors, walk through the exhibit and "activate" each statue, prompting the students to come to life and narrate their stories. This interactive format makes learning fun and dynamic, as students practice their Portuguese in a real-world context and gain confidence in their public speaking abilities. The Wax Museum is a highlight of the academic year, celebrated for its creativity and educational value.
