Friendly Competition and Artistic Innovation in Grade 5
As part of their Earth and Space Science unit, Grade 5 students participated in an engaging STEAM experiment to test the force of gravity. In teams, they were challenged to use their imaginations to design a protective structure that would keep a raw egg safe when dropped from a certain height. This activity allowed students to use their creativity and investigate different Physics reactions while developing their critical thinking skills. Students built and used models, constructed explanations, and designed solutions from evidence they gathered. During it all, students were engaged and had the opportunity for some friendly competition and artistic innovation.
