🌾 Field Trip to Quinta da Granja 🌾

The sun was shining, and it was the perfect day for our adventure at Quinta da Granja! As soon as we arrived, the children eagerly rolled up their sleeves to make fresh bread with Madalena. The delicious smell set a wonderful tone for the rest of our visit.

Afterward, we began meeting the farm animals. We gently petted the Mé lamb, the sheep Amora, the goats, and the sweet donkeys Maria Bolacha and Biscoito Garcia. We also watched Thunder and Romeu joyfully jumping and rolling on the ground, and even spotted the Vietnamese pig relaxing nearby.

On our way to the chicken pen, we discovered a walnut tree and an olive tree—two exciting surprises that added to our exploration. We also enjoyed feeding the ducks with bread before heading to lunch, where everyone ate with great enthusiasm after a busy morning outdoors!

In the afternoon, we ran, played, and then stepped inside the chicken pen, where we carefully held the chickens and even the rooster. The children were especially delighted to meet the adorable baby bunnies, just a month and a half old.

To end our adventure, we hopped on a fun “carroça” ride around the farm. Laughter and excitement filled the air as we rode through the beautiful surroundings.

We had an amazing day learning, exploring, and enjoying nature together. What a wonderful start to our field trip adventures!
