We started our Fairytales Unit with the traditional story "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" to connect with the topic of “family”. This theme was explored transversally in English, Portuguese, Math and Science, as well as IT. We used bears to work on name recognition. We made our own finger puppets of the story. We played bear counting, sorting and size games. Learn new songs about bears. Made our own houses with family pictures. Explored with all our senses Fall items that we brought form home: wood, stones, feathers, sticks, pinecones, leaves, acorns, or corn corncobs. Today we had a picnic with the bears we brought from home as the culmination of these two fun weeks. We also tried some Autumn fruits, despite the sunny and wonderful summer day!!!
