Discovering Nature: A Second-Grade Outdoor Adventure

Last season, on a cloudy yet beautiful day, our second graders set off on an outdoor adventure with a scientific purpose: to learn about the culture, fauna, and flora of the region where we live and study. Supported by our Outdoor Learning Program and our dynamic second-grade teachers, students spent a full morning playing, discovering, and uncovering many of the secrets that Sintra and Quinta do Pisão have to offer. They climbed log piles, observed donkeys, harvested produce, and, of course, spent plenty of time walking, exploring, and learning. A true adventure!
