Congratulations Class of 2023!

Congratulations Class of 2023!

On June 3rd, we received all our Seniors one last time at CAISL, to celebrate their High School Graduation. The theater was filled with families and friends of the 57 graduates, all ready to cheer them on through this bittersweet ceremony that marked the end of their school journeys.

This year’s keynote speaker was Ms. Mariana Matias, a CAISL alumna now working as an International Relations Officer in the European Commission. Having graduated from CAISL not so long ago, Ms. Matias took the chance to remember that transition from school into University and the professional worlds, leaving some important, yet humorous, advice for the years to come.

The valedictorian address, done this year by Francisco M., who attended CAISL since he was 3 years old, was an emotional one, remembering families about when these young adults were small children. He extended a heartfelt thanks to all CAISL faculty and staff, and in special to his family, that surely translated the feelings of the class of 2023.

After each student received their diploma, it was time for Mr. Chapman, CAISL director, to declare the class of 2023 officially graduated, with a few parting warm words. The full class then stood up and did the traditional cap toss, among excited cheering, but also some tears. As graduates left the theater for the reception, they received a proud ovation from their families, celebrating the great work they accomplished through their school years.

Congratulations class of 2023, and all the best for your future endeavors!
