Class of 2013 Alumni Revisit CAISL

Class of 2013 Alumni Revisit CAISL

Last week, CAISL was delighted to welcome back three alumni from the Class of 2013: Dacotah Parris, Elizabeth Stewart, and Gui Reis. Their visit was a wonderful reminder of the strong connections and lasting memories that tie our graduates to CAISL—no matter how far life takes them.

The three friends were in Portugal to attend the wedding of a fellow CAISL classmate and couldn’t miss the chance to return to their former school. As they walked through familiar halls, shared stories, and smiled at old memories, it was clear how much their time at CAISL still means to them.

Gui Reis, now based in the San Francisco area, works in computer software after graduating from Stanford University. He spoke fondly of Ms. Gisel’s classes, Theory of Knowledge (TOK), and his involvement in Model United Nations (MUN)—experiences he credits as meaningful parts of his education.

Elizabeth Stewart and Dacotah Parris are currently living in Japan. Elizabeth is with the U.S. Embassy, while Dacotah serves in the U.S. Air Force in the field of intelligence. Both shared how deeply they value their years at CAISL and in Portugal and expressed a strong desire to return and live here again one day.

Dacotah captured some great photos during the visit, helping preserve the joy of their return.

It was truly special to see these alumni reconnect with the place where their journeys began. Their visit was not only a celebration of friendship and shared history but also a meaningful reminder of the lifelong impact of the CAISL experience.
