Congratulations to the CAISL Chess Club for their recent highly successful 2025 CAISL Chess Championship. There were two tournaments—one for 5 minute per side games called Blitz, and one for 12 minute per side games, called Rapid, with 32 participants of all ages from throughout the secondary competing in lunchtime games in the art room. The finals were held in the snack bar and made for dramatic viewing with the results projected onto a large screen, captivating the snack bar audience with the intense tactical battles! The winners were presented handmade trophies by Chess Club President Sophia and faculty advisor Mr. Hawke. Congratulations to Havir for taking the gold in both tournaments as well as to Fabio and Ivan for the silver in the blitz and rapid tournaments respectively!
