Celebrating Literacy: 10th and 1st grade readers share stories

Today, our school hosted a heartwarming scene at the Main Library, where 10th graders teamed up with their 1st-grade counterparts for a special reading session.

The books chosen for the session were part of the 1st-grade literature curriculum. In small groups the 1st graders showcased their reading skills to the 10th graders, demonstrating their capabilities and the progress they've made. Following this, the 10th graders reciprocated by reading back to their younger peers.

This dynamic exchange aimed to create a vibrant atmosphere filled with shared laughter and learning. This initiative not only nurtured a love for reading but also became a bridge between different grades, fostering a strong sense of community among students.

Thank you to our Librarian, Ms. Eileen, for organizing this activity, strengthening the bonds between our students across various grades.
