Erika M., a proud alumna of CAISL’s Class of 2019, has returned to her roots, this time as an intern. She recently started her internship at CAISL, working with children and teenagers while pursuing her master’s degree in educational psychology and counseling at Faculdade de Psicologia of the University of Lisbon.
After completing her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Faculdade de Psicologia of the University of Lisbon, Erika chose to focus her master’s thesis on the topic of retirement in sports, showcasing her broad academic interests and dedication to understanding human behavior.
Erika first joined CAISL in Kindergarten and Grade 1 before her family moved abroad. When they returned to Portugal, she rejoined CAISL as a 12th grader, where the engaging and thought-provoking PSHE classes ignited her interest in psychology.
We are thrilled to welcome Erika back to CAISL, now as a dedicated intern supporting our students. Seeing her grow from a bright student to a professional making a meaningful impact is a source of pride for our community.
In addition to her work at CAISL, Erika is also interning at Faculdade de Ciências of the University of Lisbon, where she collaborates with adults, further expanding her expertise.
Erika’s journey reflects the values of curiosity, growth, and dedication that CAISL strives to instill in all its students. We are proud to have her back and love having her around, contributing to the community she once called home.
