On the week of March 17th, CAISL had the honor of welcoming renowned authors Renée Watson and Ellen Hagan. Through interactive workshops and thought-provoking discussions, they ignited a passion for storytelling and self-expression in our students, encouraging them to find their voices through poetry and prose. Whether exploring themes of identity, culture, or creativity, their mentorship inspired young writers to see the power of words in a new light.
Beyond working with students, Watson and Hagan also led a special session for educators from CAISL and visiting schools, sharing valuable insights into fostering creativity in the classroom. Their presence brought our community together in celebration of literature and the arts. We are deeply grateful for their time, passion, and dedication to nurturing the next generation of writers.
