Art Exploration at MNAA

Embarking on a cultural journey, our High School and IB Art classes recently had the privilege of visiting the renowned "Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga" (MNAA) in Lisbon. This excursion provided a unique opportunity for our students to draw inspiration directly from the museum's impressive collection. While our High School students honed their artistic skills by sketching and drawing from the diverse exhibits, our Advanced Art and IB seniors were treated to an exclusive tour guided by the head of the museum's conservation department. This rare insight into the conservation aspect of the museum not only added depth to their understanding of art but also offered a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the meticulous work that goes into preserving these cultural treasures.
