A Sustainable Holiday Tree

Maria Barral

This year, the HS and the MS Ecolution Clubs joined efforts with the Parent Support Group (PSG) and created their version of a sustainable Holiday Tree. Ornaments were created by the three groups reusing materials that would go for recycling or even litter. Among the ornaments created, you can identify plastic bottles bottoms and tops, milk tetra-packages, soda cans, toilet rolls, reused ribbons, broken CDs, coffee capsules, cork screws, cardboard and paper, and a whole lot of imagination! They also parted from using lights to save up some energy and consequently reduce its carbon footprint. This wonderful tree, kindly lent by the PSG for the purpose, can be visited in the Snack Bar.
