Today, our school had the pleasure of welcoming back one of our alumnae Marcela C., who graduated in 2012. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Sports and Exercise, Marcela C. completed a Master of Education in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching at Universidade Lusófona.
Her passion for physical education has always been evident. After graduating from CAISL, she stayed on to work in our PE department as an assistant, sports coach, and PE teacher. She later moved to São Paulo, Brazil, where she completed an internship at Universidade de Taubaté and worked as a pre-school teacher in a bilingual program.
Last summer, she moved to Kuwait and is now a Physical Education Teacher at the Universal American School in Kuwait. During her visit, many of our students who had her as a PE teacher were excited to see her again. Her friendly and approachable nature made the reunion special.
Currently on her summer break, she makes it a point to visit our school whenever she can. We are thrilled that she will be joining us again next Friday to participate in the Gonçalo Ferraz Tournament.
Her visit today was a wonderful reminder of the impact a passionate educator can have. We are proud of her achievements and grateful for her continued connection to our school.
