50th anniversary of Carnation Revolution
Tomorrow marks the 50th anniversary of the 1974 Carnation Revolution in Portugal.
To celebrate, in today’s assembly, grades 6 to 11 students had the opportunity to listen to the testimony of two guests’ speakers who shared their experiences during that time period.
The importance of the revolution in Portugal and the value of our freedom can also be seen in our special displays of work in the corridors between the Elementary and Secondary buildings. The Portuguese government kindly provided artists’ renderings of elements from the Portuguese Constitution.
The entire community is more than welcome to visit the exhibition.
