2025 Zurich HS Honor Orchestra

The 2025 Zurich High School Honor Orchestra marks the second honor festival in which we’ve had the privilege of seeing CAISL students participate. The entire experience is character-building—from preparing audition materials and waiting for results to diving into the repertoire once accepted.

This year, we’re proud to share that we had a 100% acceptance rate. CAISL was represented by six students, three of whom served as section leaders. The repertoire challenged students to step outside their comfort zones: three of the five pieces were composed within the last 15 years, requiring both serious preparation and an open mind. Meeting the high standard demanded significant personal time and dedication, including attending many office hours.

As assistant to the conductor during the festival, I can confidently say that CAISL's students arrived well prepared—and over the course of three days of intensive work, they elevated their performance even further.

Mr. Bruno and I were incredibly proud to see our students thriving as young musicians and forming new friendships with peers from 17 international schools. This has truly been a memorable and enriching experience for all of us.
