1st In-Person College Counseling Parent Meeting Draws Attention

The first in-person student/parent meeting for College Counseling took place in the Art Gallery Early May. It was aimed at families who are considering post-secondary education in the “US, Portugal, and the UK”. It was a full house; over 85 people attended. This was one out of three sessions, the other two dedicated to “Canada and The Netherlands” and “Ireland and the rest of Europe”, allowing the opportunity to clarify questions and learn more about the different country systems and their specifics.

The CAISL College Counseling program starts in 9th Grade. In addition to regular meetings with the students and a monthly newsletter with tips, information and advice for parents, this program also organizes meetings with key information, and provides very needed support to students through the application process.
