COFFEE CHATS
Did you just arrive? Would you like to meet other parents informally and ask every day questions?
This year PSG would love to meet you online and share an hour over coffee to welcome you and to help answer any questions you may have.
TREKKING CLUB
Put on your training shoes, grab a bottle of water and join the group!
Due to the pandemic the trekking meets had to be suspended last year but, this year, they are back!
This activity is appropriate for any skill level adult.
BOOK CLUB
A Parent Book Club you can join at any time, no strings attached.
Books are chosen one meeting to read on the next.
FILM CLUB
Watch the selected Independent/Foreign film and then discuss/critique the film.
This club met last year for the full year online - first parents would watch the movie, and then would come together for a zoom call to discuss it. Now the club is looking for a possibility of continuing in-person viewings and discussions.
RUNNING CLUB
Social running can be a good integration tool and a way to create bonds with locals and other expats. This year, a new social running club is being started.
A new club this year, it aims to meet once or twice a week. Runs are between 5 and 10km with a coffee after.
FOOD & TRAVEL CLUB
A club for CAISL parents to share their Portugal travel tips while discovering and enjoying local gastronomy.
Lunches (or dinners) are scheduled once a month following the DGS recommendations.
PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE & CULTURE
This is a club for those who want to improve their Portuguese speaking skills through elements of the rich History and Culture of Portugal.
A new club this year, it aims to meet twice a month and allow for non-speakers of Portuguese to practice their Portuguese. First meeting is a conversation about a proposed subject, second meeting is a field trip to related site in town.
