All parents were invited for a meeting in January to rethink the role and functions of the PTO. The ‘Parent Support Group’ emerged from that and the following meetings. This group, with no formal structure, created a community survey to understand what events were considered important and, with those results in hand, decided to organize the following events until the end of this school year:
Bake sale in support of the Fine Arts Festival – May 27th.
(the sub-committee to organize this event will be meeting on May 16th, at 8:30, in the Snack-Bar)
A decision has also been made to organize the Welcome Back Picnic in September, as well as an International Fair in the beginning of next school year. The sub-committee(s) to organize these events will be meeting also on May 16th, at 8:30, in the Snack-Bar.
