College Day 2017 at CAISL occurred with all of the seniors and juniors attending an intensive and busy workshop type schedule in order to help them on their path towards tertiary education. The future 2018 graduates attended information sessions for applying and attending universities in the United Kingdom, the United States, Portugal, and Netherlands. They learned about the application process, requirements, as well as the online platforms that these areas provide. Additionally, the seniors were provided sessions in order to assist them for their Theory of Knowledge Essays, the SAT Math 2 Subject Test, PSHE sessions, as well as guidance on how to write for the admissions offices of their respective university systems.
The Juniors were given their first taste of how the admissions process works in the United States through a role-play and discussion session, as well as given an introduction into the CAS element of the IB Diploma Program. They were also given the opportunity to learn SAT prep strategies. For students attending the US or Portuguese systems, this was a very important session to be aware of. Similar to the Seniors, they had sessions for SAT Math 2, PSHE, and writing for admissions offices that they could choose from.
