JMUN will hold its fourth annual conference on February 11th, 2010. Student delegates will debate contemporary world issues in a classroom simulation of the real United Nations.
The United Nations, founded in 1945, by the Allied Powers (The United States, the U.K., the former Soviet Union, and China), has been a major part in working to resolve conflicts around the world.
Students from 6th to 8th Grade will represent nations at the conference and high school students will be responsible for the positions of chairs, co-chairs and press. This year two schools will attend the conference. Hopefully, year by year more schools will be added to this program.
We hope that you enjoy the conference, make progress identifying peaceful solutions to the world’s problems and don’t forget to have fun!
